Elderly care...

This morning, i woke up at 6.45am...

wow, isn't that damn early...??
really haven't woke at such an hour for ages already...

why would i wake up so early le??
cos gotta do something quite meaningful ma...


So, today we went to some sorta "old folk's home"...
(actually is 2 blocks of 4-storey apartments with lonely old people...)

we did some simple medical check-up for them...such as....

measuring their weight, height, body mass index, body fat index etc...
giving them simple advices on food balance and control...
teaching them some simple exercising...
teaching them ways to avoid falls...

besides, there were also a few residents who went with us to examine the folks...


most importantly of all, i think our main aim of going there was to give them warmth..
just some chit-chat, to share their sorrow or happiness, to understand their life...
to give them a smile, to show them that there's love in this world, that there's still people who care....
there was even this cute old fellow who took out his Chinese Chess and challenged my classmate...hehe


in all, i think i had a great morning though i had to wake up so damn early..haha...

Once in a while, i shall feel a slight sore in my knee...

and i recently also discovered that i can't kneel for long...

i'm really afraid that this knee pain will get worse & worse...





is it because of the many times of falling-downs before this??

is it because of my type of playing style that requires plenty of braking and jumping movements??





please, i really wanna keep playing sports, especially basketball....

let's hope the pain disappears...

Sadly enough, I have failed to be one of the top 5 students out of the 84 who took part in the dentistry course-switching exam.

According to the known score of the 5 top students, i guessed that my position is somewhere between 15-25...

not too bad after all, but i think i just didn't tried hard enough...
i was too playful then, i guess...
but what to do?
I guess this is the real me...it's in my genes...
i can't just keep my butt sticking on the chair, studying for long hours without playing some sports or doing whatever else...
nevertheless, i gotta say that i'm not "anti-medicine", so staying in medicine will do me no harm at all...
i'll still do what i can for this sophomore year...

Who knows?? I might retake this exam once more next summer...haha

anyway, after tonight's great dinner with my cousin, my spirits are high up in the air again...

After many nights of discomfort, finally found some time to buy myself a new mattress...
wow...really gave my back some relaxing comfort..so nice..really haven't slept so soundly for ages...
however, i'm now thinking if i bought the correct bed sheet..haha..have a look, guys...since when did i become fond of leopards??
haha..the blue one is without the bed sheet..seems more comfy n nicer but without the bed sheet, hard to clean..so...haiz...

A New Start

So i, Benjamin Lai Chung Howe, have finally created a blog of my very own..
hope it's going to be a nice start..
i might treat this just as a diary, i guess...(though i'm not posting everyday, of course)
