In the blink of an eye, Christmas is now over...



& soon 2008 will be over too...




so what have we accomplished in this year??


did we spend our time wisely enough??


are we satisfied with what we did??


do we regret anything??

Elderly care...

This morning, i woke up at 6.45am...

wow, isn't that damn early...??
really haven't woke at such an hour for ages already...

why would i wake up so early le??
cos gotta do something quite meaningful ma...


So, today we went to some sorta "old folk's home"...
(actually is 2 blocks of 4-storey apartments with lonely old people...)

we did some simple medical check-up for them...such as....

measuring their weight, height, body mass index, body fat index etc...
giving them simple advices on food balance and control...
teaching them some simple exercising...
teaching them ways to avoid falls...

besides, there were also a few residents who went with us to examine the folks...


most importantly of all, i think our main aim of going there was to give them warmth..
just some chit-chat, to share their sorrow or happiness, to understand their life...
to give them a smile, to show them that there's love in this world, that there's still people who care....
there was even this cute old fellow who took out his Chinese Chess and challenged my classmate...hehe


in all, i think i had a great morning though i had to wake up so damn early..haha...

in the far future, i really don't wanna be a lonely old fellow, someone like the guy i sketched(the one in the post before...haha)

Once in a while, i shall feel a slight sore in my knee...

and i recently also discovered that i can't kneel for long...

i'm really afraid that this knee pain will get worse & worse...





is it because of the many times of falling-downs before this??

is it because of my type of playing style that requires plenty of braking and jumping movements??





please, i really wanna keep playing sports, especially basketball....

let's hope the pain disappears...

why is it so? i really don't know...

in addition to that, i think i'm feeling homesick these days....

still 2 months and 1 more week before i can return to home sweet home...

seems like i've started this semester badly and most of my time aren't spent on studies...haiz

there's no mistake saying that this is indeed my most free semester throughout my whole medical university life, but i still think that i gotta do more!!

can't be so "tui fei" anymore...

from today onwards, STUDY! STUDY! STUDY!

let's try to get back to NUPS's life, life where there are no computers and no activities to be done...only thing there is to do, STUDY STUDY STUDY!!

haha...is that possible now in uni??

of cos NO la...but just gotta find back that studying spirit...

something sorta "kiasu" so that it can make me wanna score better..haha
